John's Plumbing Heating and Cooling

  • What's the advantage to having my sewer lined?

Sewer lining using cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) technology offers several benefits. It provides a leak-free, structural repair for various pipeline systems, including storm and sanitary sewers, drains, waste, and vent pipes. This method is also less invasive compared to traditional plumbing repair techniques, minimizing disruption to your property.
  • Why is water coming out of the overflow pipe on my water heater?

The overflow pipe on your water heater is actually a temperature and pressure relief valve. It's designed to discharge water when the pressure reaches 150 psi or the temperature exceeds 210 degrees. If you notice water coming from this pipe, it may indicate that your water heater's pressure or temperature is exceeding safe levels.
  • Do I have a leak if my water bill is too high?

While a high water bill can be concerning, it's important to note that approximately 90% of our leak detection calls are due to running toilets. A simple way to check for a toilet leak is to place a small amount of food coloring in the toilet tank and observe if it seeps into the bowl. This can help identify if a running toilet is the cause of your increased water usage.
